Active Youth Academy provides high-quality after-school programs, summer camps, and enrichment programming for students in grades K–8. Our programs are designed to support student engagement, enrichment, and positive youth development while aligning with the needs and priorities of schools and districts. The Active Youth Model 

The Active Youth Model The Active Youth Model is a teaching and learning framework that combines research-based educational practices with the principles of athletics to engage students in active, well-rounded learning. This model is intentionally designed to support academic growth, physical wellness, and character development through structured, engaging experiences. Programs are organized into three core areas, with courses designed to meet clear learning objectives:

  • Active Mind:Develops practical skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through engaging, hands-on learning experiences that promote critical thinking and creativity..
  • Active Body:Promotes physical and mental wellness through movement-based activities that build strength, focus, self-control, and healthy lifestyle habits.
  • Active Character: Builds leadership, citizenship, and social-emotional skills by strengthening communication, confidence, teamwork, and self-efficacy. .

Sample After-School Program Schedule

2:15 PM – Arrival and student check-in

2:30–3:00 PM – Snack and Character Chat

3:00–3:30 PM – Academic support and homework assistance

3:30–5:00 PM – Enrichment class blocks (Active Mind, Active Body, Active Character)

5:00–5:30 PM – Structured physical activity

5:30 PM –6 PM – Classroom reset & Character connection

6:00 PM – Dismissal procedures

Club programming is offered on Wednesdays and Fridays.
